Uno Psych + L&I
Your work may ask you to remain capable through experiences that leave a lasting impact. An injury can also change your identity, independence, sense of safety. I take time to understand those effects.
I work with first responders, corrections staff, healthcare professionals, veterans, other Washington workers with clinically appropriate psychiatric needs.
Uno Psych’s L&I provider application was approved October 13, 2026. We confirm provider billing readiness, claim requirements, authorization before confirming covered care.

Assessment of symptoms, psychiatric history, the relationship to a reported work injury or exposure. Findings inform diagnosis, treatment recommendations, the information your insurer needs.
Medication management, psychotherapy, EMDR when clinically appropriate. Treatment addresses defined symptoms, coping, daily functioning. Covered services require claim authorization.
Clinical descriptions of how symptoms affect specific duties, concentration, sleep, interaction, daily tasks. Coordination with your attending provider, claim manager, vocational professional follows applicable permissions.
When the claim meets L&I requirements, a psychiatric ARNP can serve as the attending provider for a mental-health-only claim, or certain claims after physical treatment is complete. Appropriate work-status forms may then be part of care.

Eligibility depends on Washington workers’ compensation rules, the circumstances of exposure or injury, accepted conditions, the insurer’s determination. A clinical assessment can describe your presentation. The insurer decides claim coverage.
Mental health evaluations on an existing claim generally require prior authorization. Ongoing treatment also requires authorization. An initial evaluation to open or reopen a mental-health-only claim has different authorization rules. We clarify the correct pathway before your visit.
Authorized claim-related services are billed to the responsible workers’ compensation insurer under its payment rules. Covered care carries zero patient copays or deductibles; the worker receives zero balance billing for the difference between the billed fee and allowed amount.
Questions about a denied claim, an unrelated condition, a private-pay service are reviewed before treatment.
Some authorized psychiatric services can be delivered by telehealth. L&I requires an in-person mental health visit at least once every six months during ongoing telehealth care. We review location, clinical needs, claim requirements before choosing the format.
My service is treating-provider psychiatric care. Requests for an independent medical examination, permanent impairment rating, forensic opinion are directed to the appropriate qualified examiner.
